The photographer was an old school mate of his, and was becoming fast recognized as a player in the highly competitive field of lingerie photography. He had his studio “tuned” for that type of shoot, and was glad to help out an old friend. Too bad Joe couldn’t make it for this, she thought. He would have really loved it. FSK is Wired for Pleasure

The entire work focuses on gender, the role of femininity vs. feminism, role vs. persona, a movie unmade, of different pop culture archetypes women in cinema populate. The video, in particular, focuses on the fluidity of the self, a melting off of gender, identity, into piece where toys melt, mold and float in shimmering liquid. Its hypnotic and strange, yet lovely. Erotic in a different way.

The full exhibit includes photo stills arranged in “type” or “mood” galleries - The Blonde, The Showgirl, The Redhead. There are also production notes cataloguing the first few years of this project. RW: Tell me a little bit about what you do and how you came into this work.

SN: I started out twenty years ago doing bodywork as a component of
spiritual mentoring. Basically, I wanted to help people integrate what
they knew spiritually into their everyday life. To have knowledge of a
spiritual perspective and to implement that knowledge into your daily
living are two completely different things. As people came to me for
spiritual instruction, I began to realize most of them had deep

overwhelming.

Introduction – “Saturday Night” – Short and Goofy

The Story of The Eye - Georges Bataille
This is a thin tome that rambles on an expressionistic surreal coming-of-age tale in the French countryside. Sex here is raw and addictive, uncontrolled, bizarre and achingly sweet. The main characters, a boy and his lovely cousin, drive a girl mad, play with eggs and bulls’ testes. There is murder, lust, mud wallowing and milk sitting. And of course, religion is mocked and desecrated, in the most voluptuous manner. I can’t say anymore about this book without giving away some of the juicier aspects of the tale. It’s a short must read that will either whet your appetite for more or disturb you intensely.

It began with the pee-pee dance. Running around with my hand in my crotch as a toddler, feeling oddly glad that I had waited so long to tinkle. I continued this ritual until my early teens - running for the bathroom, hand in crotch, just making it to the toilet. On a late Thursday evening in early November, women are lined up outside a local bar. The women in line are not the overly manicured type or very young. Professional, confident, hip without pretension and most of all, sexy. And strangely, men are no where to be seen.
