She pulled the collar tightly around the front of her neck as she walked briskly to her car. It was bitter cold that day with gusts of wind burning against her face. She tried to turn from the icy blasts, but could not block the stinging numbness on her cheeks. She opened her car door and quickly got in. Tiffany sat there motionless for several minutes just waiting for circulation to return to her face and warm her to some semblance of life once again. The car started and as she adjusted the blower it occurred to her that she had been lost in thought again, running on automatic as she reviewed in her mind the anticipated outcomes she would experience this evening. For Friday had finally arrived, she was leaving work to get ready for her first ‘date’ with Joe, the man she had only met the previous week in the bookstore. A perfect stranger who knew her more intimately then even her closest friends. This encounter was decidedly out of character for Tiffany, who was normally cautious and deliberate about her acquaintances — and even more particular about her intimates. She tried to focus on her feelings, but they were ethereal at the moment, and drifted off. She pulled out of the parking lot and mixed into the stream of cars heading down the road. In a few minutes she would be home, and could relax and plan for her evening with him.

She walked in her house, and set her bag on the floor near the door. She was feeling a little tired and wanted to literally drop everything for now, and just relax. Tiffany went into her bedroom and flung herself on the bed, letting the day’s tension ebb from her body. She felt nice as she sunk in the bed. After a few minutes, she thought she could get a glass of wine, and take a hot slow bath. mmmmm that would really put her in the proper mood for the nite. (more…)

As I perch on a stool, you whisper in my ear “The pier”.

I laugh, long and loud, at your imaginative choice.

“We are 30 blocks away”  I snicker, looking at the clock over the bar.

“C’mon”  You grab my hand, my coat, my bag, and push your way through the crowd.  Outside, you pause, holding out my coat for me, then pressing me against the wall, your arms block any escape.  Your smile is all heat and hunger, wicked and confident.

“When we get there, you’ll do as I say, baby, and you’ll love it” Your English accent warm and clipped, more suggestive than menacing.  I stick out my tongue, and you lick it with the tip of yours.  I moan a little, you growl, and we kiss hard.  Your arms wrap around me and I melt into your mouth with warm, wet, open kisses.

You pull my away from the building to the street and flag down a cab.  Its late, almost 2 am, but you’re determined.  And horny.  I’ve teased you all night, starting with a phone call earlier in the day, where I told you I would do whatever you wanted in the location of your choice as long as you did it after 1 am and by 3 am.  I promised you in this warm winter break no location was out of bounds, unless it was unsafe, too public and too bright.  We pondered bridges and tunnels, subway cars and building rooftops.  Parks and taxi cabs already had seen our eagerness to get at each other physically.  We so enjoyed making out, touching, fucking, teasing each other, and the locations just made the jolt a little more intense, a private adventure you and I share.

Check out the full three-part video piece I made a few years ago for my online exhibit and gallery installation - “unMade Movie”. It has traveled to Russia, Toronto, Chicago, Germany and Italy.

The entire work focuses on gender, the role of femininity vs. feminism, role vs. persona, a movie unmade, of different pop culture archetypes women in cinema populate. The video, in particular, focuses on the fluidity of the self, a melting off of gender, identity, into piece where toys melt, mold and float in shimmering liquid. Its hypnotic and strange, yet lovely. Erotic in a different way.

The full exhibit includes photo stills arranged in “type” or “mood” galleries - The Blonde, The Showgirl, The Redhead. There are also production notes cataloguing the first few years of this project. The site will soon migrate to a more user friendly version, but until then, you can veiw the full exhibit online here:
