Check out the full three-part video piece I made a few years ago for my online exhibit and gallery installation - “unMade Movie”. It has traveled to Russia, Toronto, Chicago, Germany and Italy.
The entire work focuses on gender, the role of femininity vs. feminism, role vs. persona, a movie unmade, of different pop culture archetypes women in cinema populate. The video, in particular, focuses on the fluidity of the self, a melting off of gender, identity, into piece where toys melt, mold and float in shimmering liquid. Its hypnotic and strange, yet lovely. Erotic in a different way.
The full exhibit includes photo stills arranged in “type” or “mood” galleries - The Blonde, The Showgirl, The Redhead. There are also production notes cataloguing the first few years of this project.
