Sex is a primal urge. Its the arbiter of love, transporting and releasing tension and aggression. If sexuality is repressed, other primal urges, particularly violence and rage, which are more permissible in this society to express, increase in intensity.

Sexuality cannot be controlled or contained by dogma. Sex is not sinful or evil. Sex is a positive, transformative, joyful experience. Its an intimate expression of pleasure, trust and affection. Sex is not about secrets and shame. Sex is not an expression of self-loathing or disgust at one’s body, one’s feelings.

I eschewed online dating for the “real” world of people i meet throughout the art, nightlife and professional worlds i mix in.

One guy i found cute and interesting, a fellow artist, seemed to have so much potential. And then he blew it. The night started off okay - gallery hopping from opening to opening, a group of us, sipping wine, looking at art, hanging out. He and i split off later in the evening. We hung out and ended up in a passionate embrace.

Spin 103.8’s Talk with Ali and Jack calls me up from time to time to talk dirty. Actually, its usually a conversation about the pros and cons of different kinds of sexual situations. This morning’s conversation was about sex in transit - sex in trains, planes and automobiles. My top three are elevators, planes and cruise ships. The hot hood of a car is something i’d like to try. Trains basically are too uncomfortable these days to accommodate play. Buses - hard and rather depressing.

Next month, the talk will be about “breast sex” - quite a nice euphemism, if you ask me
